This week the Church begins a new liturgical year with the first Sunday of Advent. The readings this week invite us to consider how we are preparing both for the coming of the Lord at Christmas, but also at the end of time. To prepare the way of the Lord we should cast off deeds of darkness and live as children of the Light.
